hi
for my aleph 3 oversize toroid buzz with (6sec. turn on
relay with 20 ohm power resistor)
10000uF 10v
RS604 400v 6A
+ MOV Z131-20UL on toroid primary
DC on AC power was very strange to me ?? but
the 6sec. turn on buzz is much lower and the general
buzz sound level is much lower
not perfect but surely a good update for my aleph
bye

Hi,
I used the series connected capacitors.
But the downside is they need to be 4 times the capacitance to match the impedance of Bryston's inverse parallel method.

hi Andrew
ok good point for bryston but did you get good
result like me
if i understand your power is 240v (maybe 2 hot wire)
not 120v with hot and neutral wire like canada

Hi,
I inserted in the hot (live) line just in case it ever went open circuit.
It cut some mechanical hum.
We have one live (230Vac) and one neutral and one earth.
Three phase (400Vac phase to phase and 230Vac phase to neutral) has three live and optional neutral with one earth.
