So... I have lost the components box to a set of Dayton BR-1 and have only the cabinets and the foam. I'm a speaker building newb and usually only go for headphones but I would like a pair of high efficiency monitors for a desktop setup. The amp that I will use is the Bottle head S.E.X. 2.1 I would also like to keep the crossovers external but that's not a must. I can put together a crossover but would love a PCB if possible. Can someone recommend drivers, tweeters, and a crossover?
Why not just buy the drivers and crossover components needed and build the BR-1? Here is the manual, with description and BOM:

I can definitely do that, I just wasn't sure if they would be loud enough for near field listening. The amp puts out 2 watts per channel
I can’t design the crossover but I have these cabinets and the Satori MW16 and the Fountek Cd3.0 fit fine…now if someone can pursue the crossover at about 3000 hz!…let’s see if we can give the ARA a little cheap competition.
As you will have to buy the parts anyway, you could consider using the "MurphyBlaster" revised crossover for the BR-1:

Dennis Murphy is a very well respected designer and his XO uses a few more parts than the stock one, but by all accounts sounds better.

I forgot to address your question on efficiency; the DC160, in any design, is not the most efficient driver and my Classix IIs (same woofer) like around 40 watts RMS to give their best, when listening at about 2 metres.

I'm guessing you'll need a very efficient driver. I would look into some Fostex or similar full range drivers. Not sure how it will sound in the BR-1 enclosure, but it's worth a look.
