Can anyone help me with designing a quick and easy cabinet for my Dayton Audio RS75-4 3" Reference Full-Range Driver 4 Ohm. I will eventually put these in my car so I am not looking for anything elaborate. I have tried the speaker design programs and cant figure them out. I know this would take most of you 2 seconds. Any help would be very very appreciated. Thanks

How much bass extension do you need? That is, are you running it with a sub? If so, a sealed cabinet with stuffing is easy to get down to 150 to 200 Hz and run the speaker high passed through a XO. If you need it to make bass then the question is how much space do you have in the car and what shape (long and slender, or rectangular box, or flat and wide)?

Hi,

You can forget about any sort of bass from a driver with
a Fs of 160Hz +, Qts 0.8, 1mm excursion and tiny Vas
of 0.3L, it simply ain't going to happen, in any way.

It simply is a mid+ driver, to all intents and purposes.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

And a tricky one at that with a low midband sensitivity.
Clearly meant for very compact AV builds, and TBH
not a great deal of use in a car given the other options.

In an active sound bar with active EQ I'd say where it belongs.

rgds, sreten.
