Why does this Dayton Audio PA380-8 15" Pro Woofer have an impedance spike of 300 around 40hz? When designing the crossover is there a way to get the spike down, or does it even matter?

thank you.

It doesn't matter. All woofers have a peak at their Fs. Put it in a bass reflex box and you'll have two peaks. 🙂

The peak won't effect your crossover unless you are crossing very, very low. You aren't, are you?

Actually, the resonance peak is around 32 Hz. Nothing to worry about. Have purchase quite a few and they, so far, have been very consistent and very close to spec.

The peak is of little or no concern when properly used in either a vented or sealed box. Can even be used in an open baffle. How do you intend to use this driver?
