Anyone have any data on 6U4N rectifier how much voltage and current can it withstand?Been searshing but found nothing.
Seems to be just the strange way to denote the Soviet 6Ц4П (6Z4P), so about 350-400V and 75mA max.
Even stranger Yoycart.com -says its the "biggest Chinese seller " has -quote " the new British shield 6X4 tube generation 6202-EZ90-6U4N-6Z4 rectifier tube sound quality is soft "-end quote a Mullard tube -aye right ! its got a phony Mullard stamp -says - location China --yet there is a cardboard cut out saying "made in England " -- bull !
It can be, though if you intend to run it with the same heater secondary that runs the signal tubes, it is not a great idea (at least for the B+ of 300V or higher).
Theroretically it should withstand 400V difference (cathode positive to heater) as per datasheet, but I've seen bad practical reports.

Thats what I was thinking, but It will have its own supply then.if you intend to run it with the same heater secondary that runs the signal tubes, it is not a great idea
One thing to beware of: The 6Z4P is not the drop-in replacement for a 6X4. Specs are similar, but pin connections are different
