i have a beckman tech 310, the first digital multimeter i actually purchased, so it has sentimental value for me. but things i have also have to earn their keep.
anyway, the problem is the LCD display is bad - a big dark smudge in the middle.
anybody have ideas on replacement LCDs for these?
beckman instruments is not helpful; strictly medical tech now.
thanks,
mlloyd1

Two of mine have the same problem. I had thought of trying thin aluminium sheet under the display. Don't have enough inspiration as I have other meters. Don't know how much it's feasible/possible

There is no way to repair a faulty LCD. Fortunately, they are mostly compatible (if you can find one with the same number of digits and additional symbols, and with the same number of pins).
