I just built a PCM2902e USB DAC board and was very pleased when I finally heard audio out of it yesterday.
Problem is, it ain't workin now.
I have a Win98se computer with media player, total recorder and a PCI creative soundcard installed.
Yesterday, I saw it listed under multimedia properties and when I chose it as my preferred device, it did it's thing and played like a champ.
Now.....no matter what I do.....I can't get it to appear in MM properties.
I've tried installing/uninstalling a dozen times (not just the USB audio device but the sound card as well)....and still no luck.
Any ideas? Should the sound card be taken out completely?
(I still need it to record some analog inputs).
I'm thinking it's something simple I'm overlooking. THANKS!

Also, here's another problem that's occuring....
When I did finally get it to install yesterday, I had to unplug the USB cable....then turn on the computer....then plug the USB back in....it then prompted me for my Win disc and everything went fine.
If I left the USB attached, the computer wouldn't even power up.

The power-on issue happens with certain motherboards and certain USB devices. I know of several retail USB products that have this flaw. I am not certain if there is any way to fix it, although it may be related to how you have setup your USB DAC and thus be fixable.
Thanks.
I wonder if anyone can elaborate on that.
And still.....can't get the PCM2902 to show up in mutimedia properties.
