Good morning everyone, I'm facing a Hamlet-like doubt, I have an Arilyc dac hd source with digital output that I want to interface with a DSP adau 1701 of the wondom mod APM2, this is my obsession and so as not to go through the dac/dac conversion twice, online there are videos where they show how to eliminate the quartz of the DSP, configure it as a slave and solder a wire that from point y1 must be connected to the master clock of the digital source, now here's the question, can it really be done with any quartz? I have no experience in this regard and I ask the more experts, can you guide me in finding the highest quality solution possible, thank you all in advance
Not necessarily. The crystal (and overtone mode), or else the clock module, frequency depends on the particular chip it will be used with and the desired digital audio sample rate. Have to look at the datasheet for the IC.can it really be done with any quartz?
