There are several popular ‘asynchronous’ USB (the best kind for quality audio) options, such as this unit. I’m not endorsing it, as I have no experience with it. Just providing an answer to your request.

It has gone through multiple design iterations and as far as I am concerned its the best USB board available today. It can be used to produce various levels of sound quality depending on how its powered. If powered entirely through USB power the quality is minimal, as is the case with other USB bus powered USB boards. At the other extreme if two mutually isolated +5v power supplies are used its a big step up for most dac boards.
SQ can even be taken to a higher level, essentially state of the art, using external clocks and reclocking at the dac board.
