Cyrus III phono stage problem

Hi,
I recently bought a second hand Cyrus III with PSX-R which works okay on all inputs except the phono. I only get sound from the left channel when I connect my turntable. The same turntable and cables work fine into another amp.
I've cleaned the input sockets but still no right channel output.
Any ideas what could be causing this and any other tips for trying to fix the problem would be gratefully received.
Mark.

I found a set of schematics on line. Judging from the schematics, the phono stages are in "plug in" modules, with schematics shown in page 2. First checks are to confirm +/-15 power at the opamp supply rails. If the rails are OK, confirm opamp outputs (pins 1 and 7) are biased to about 0V. If they don't show 0V, there could be a failed opamp or other failed components. Compare with the working channel, or report all ic pin voltages re ground.

If outputs look biased correctly, you have to signal trace or perform other experiments. Any test equipment? Try injecting a signal into the preamp. Test in the working channel first so you know what to expect in the failed channel.

Let us know if you get stuck. Be safe.

Good luck.
