Hey all.
I need a compatible part for a "muRATA CSA11.0MT" 11Mhz Resonator. The one place I found that has that specific part wont answer my emails and I am having a hard time finding a "2 pin" 11 Mhz resonator from any brand. I can find 3 pins all day long but not 2.
So I have 2 questions:
Can I use a 12 Mhz 2 pin resonator in place of the 11 Mhz 2 pin?
Or
Can I use an 11 mhz crystal in it's place? Since the part I need (pic below) is a 2 pin and not a 3 pin resonator and does not have the capacitors built in like the crystal, would that work?
If this was a new build I wouldn't care so much, I'm repairing a vintage piece of gear.
Thanks in advance!

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

If you use a 12MHz part, you will get 12 MHz oscillation, not 11 MHz. Depending on what the oscillator is doing, the circuit may not work properly.
A 11 MHz crystal is likely to work. This is an example from element14, Newark in the USA

Thanks for the reply!
One more question. Can a 3 pin resonator be used as a 2 pin? Meaning only using 2 of the 3?
Thanks Again!
