The four transistors driving the transformer in the power supply fail very often.
Has anyone found a better replacement transistor or mod to make the PS more reliable?

Sometimes the caps or diodes go leaky and cause excessive heating. Using the same transistors with thermal gap pad may increase reliability.

You may be able to use something like the D44VH10 remotely mounted.

I use Z44s clamped to the bottom cover. It's more involved because the drive circuit has to be modified but it's reliable.
