I have been playing with a graphic equalizer in my system. My speakers are Braun LS200 and amplifier is Braun A2. I found the improved sound when I set the EQ following car audio system. That is the frequency around 100-200Hz range was cut—this has been recommended in many user manuals of car audio amplifier and crossover. The vocal seemed to be more present, focused and clearer, so as the bass. In sum, I was satisfied with the results.
Back to loudspeaker’s crossover design, I wonder is there any way to achieve that goal with three-way speaker system equipped with dome midranges. Like my current speakers, Braun LS200, they are three-way with one 0.75” tweeter, one 2” midrange, and dual 10” woofers per cabinet. The crossovers for these drive units are at 450 and 4,500Hz.
As you can see, the woofers are crossed around 450Hz. And I don’t think the 2” dome midranges could go any lower. The cut down range from experiment is about 100-200Hz. So I wonder how to achieve the desired result. One way I could basically think of is to apply a “notch” filter to woofer section of around 100-200Hz range. But, frankly, I rarely found it in any commercial speakers and I personally think it’s weird too.
Are there any more ways to be recommended?

YesDo you mean keeping the mid crossed at 450 but making a dip below that frequency?
