on of the power amps in my sub rack has developed a temper than when someone stomps through the room that that amp is in. under a large vibration the b channel makes an awfull pop and the protect light flicks on for a breif second, this happens even with the gain turned all the way down to off.

Im assuming that there is something loose inside, where would the best place to start looking considering that the noise is post gain and not affected at all by the gain setting.

Just about the whole amp is after the volume control, so while that narrows it down a little, it is not much.

Some connection is loose, and the best place to start looking is inside. It could be anywhere in there. There is no reason to expect a particular part. Having said that, it is often the larger components that can break their solder easier. SO I'd look first at large filter caps, large power resistors, and other large components that have more mass, so they move more to vibration. Any ribbon cables? The rows of male pins that ribbons plug onto are often sources of solder cracks. I am talking amps in general, not specifically Crest.

Beyond that, connect the thing up to a speaker, power it up, and start poking everything with a wooden chopstick or other insulated thing, looking for something that reacts.
