Hi fanatics. i got a amp-260 powerlogic that put out full voltage to the speaker on ONE channel,It still comes sound but i dont want to start fire in speaker 😛 Other channel is fine. The transistors tip 142/147 seems to be ok,but i Think it was full voltage on all legs.any ideas or maby there is an schematic?
260 board have mostly 3904/3906 and just one a06 per channel.i will get some Pictures later on, that maby can help a Little.im workin on a few amps at same time so easy to mix it up.thanks anyway for the Picture it can help .
yes.! also a ceramic capasitor that look suspesius, and course it dissapered a 251 so250 pf i h´guess.the transitor is out courde i wait for new to replace, ill Think i replace all in that channel and maby all electrolyt capasistors to.but as Always the items needed are not in the spare assortment.
is coustic commom in us or rarliey? is it any good at all?anyone have a knowledge by this? it was a period in 90,s it vaw common in sweden but seems do dissapered.
I think that 'good' is subjective for many aspects of amp design. The amps were not powerful and didn't have many features but if you kept the screws in the endplates tight, they held up relatively well if not abused.
They were relatively common here when the 260, 360, 460... were being produced but I don't see many now.

im also remember harman/kardon has some stuff that was written about for some time, (i nearly by one of the topline,)what happend to them? i dont hear anything about car audio from them here. is them alive?i got h/k as home theatre and its good
also remember in 90 coustic had a amp like one meter long amp mutch Power i guess its name was 560 or so..well long time go, today we have 1-2 kw,but its mostley d amps, that works Another way as i read.if i say its like a powered 1/0 digital signals .do you agree or im wrong.
i can say the 360 sm(thumpnail) is not like the 260.+ rail goes directly to collector on tip 142 and - rail goes to collector on 147 by a 5w 0,1resistor. i have now put in the missing mpsa06 and changed the 2n3904 and 2n3906 for this channel.also changed a few capasitor (those i had same value as spare home).now when powering up i dont have full voltage out any more, but still around 20 v instead of 27 as Before.this amp is not funny at all to try repair without a sm.it gives me headache
I think that you will have to measure the resistance and other readings for both channels and compare the readings to see if you can find the fault. This would be done with no power applied.
i have done that to.but no luck so far.that.s a god thing that one channel works ,to compare to.i Think i have to order some of the caps that i dont have at home and change all of them (on not working channel first) to be sure not one of them is fault.well thaks perry if you accidently find a chematic please let me know.
After a lot of mesuring caps and transistors (and replaced some ) now i get it work.it was a ceramic cap 101(100pf?) that was bad,it was placed at c17 on the board, maby good to know for any other who maby get same problem ..
