A friend of mine has this amp. Today one channel died. He found a resistor (R14) burnt and some fuses gone aswell. Does anybody on the forum have a schematic for this amp? Or have any idea what happened?

Thanks for the link.
But the man is asking $75 for a copy of the manual
for a 10 year old amp!! Why isn't everybody like Pass?
I guess I'll try to fix it w/o the schematics, it's only a power amp after all😀

Or you could always rip out its guts and build on of Mr. Pass's amplifiers in the chassis.......

I share in your pain over the high cost of materials for the Counterpoint gear. As long as one channel is operational, remember that the dead channel's topology is a mirror of the functional channel!
Do some voltage measurements within the functional channel, and look for similarities in the dead one. Then all you will have to do is inspect the individual devices.
If you have blown fuses and fried resistors, have you looked at the output section? I have not experienced as many failures of the driver boards as the outputs...
Happy hunting!

Counterpoint Solid 1-A
Any news on this amplifier?
I own a working Counterpoint Solid 1-A which I am thinking of modifying.
Perhaps upgrading the power supply capacitors, some chassis damping.
Any ideas, measurements, or suggestions?

anyone have any idea what his voicing service maybe. I couldnt imagine he could change the sound of the amplifier that much with tweaking?

Manual price
If you think you can it fixed for cheaper than that go for it. It is bit of money but possibly the cheapest route in time and money.
