Anyone got any documentation for this kit?
It's this one here:
Connexelectronic
no docs on the web site as far as I can see (though I can find docs for other boards), and Connex won't send me the info (the guy claims he's already sent it so won't resend - not very helpful - and I'm beginning to suspect there isn't any documentation - and it took 6 weeks to arrive..).
I've got a useless kit here without it.
I'm about ready to junk it and buy something better from ebay.
I tried looking on the forums both here and on Connex site, but all seem to be defunct/empty - company going under/having problems maybe?
Thanks in advance,
natb

I've sent 6 emails in total from two addresses. still claim that none of them received. Opened a dispute when the parcel was already in UK and few days later was received. I gave you the tracking nr as soon as the parcel was registered, both by email and added to your account. Yet you claim that never got the tracking info. once you got the parcel still refused to close the dispute and try to find other reason to win and get the cash back. I still send you the emails with manual, even updated BOM on paypal comment window. same result.
After I won the dispute you had opened again. now you hold my money, you wrote some insulting comments and say that the manual doesn't exist. I even sent you an assembled board just need to be soldered and in exchange for this you start making troubles and insulting me. emails are not lost unless deleted on purpose or banned/add to spam my address.
I noticed that this is the first and most often excuse used by everyone who complains about anything. I didn't got your mail, you didn't answer my mail, etc. aren't available some fresh excuses, please ??? while I know very well what's one reaction when he doesn't receive a mail I definitely make sure I won't miss it unless is spam.
I decided that the manual to not be public because there are too many details which i'm not willing to reveal for copy-pasters yet and those who buy at least one module will get the manual. Since I started to sell this kit I din't noticed someone else complaining that doesn't have the manual.
I will resend you the manual when you will provide a valid email address, and you will release the money. right now you have the product and probably the money too since I don't. Why you need to junk it instead of sending back ? or just want to keep the money and claim that was thrown. wouldn't be fair ?
The company is not down and have no problems with anyone else, anyone else who bought something recently can confirm.
Watch the attachemt, first 8 pages from the manual.

Thanks for posting here - I had assumed you had abandoned the forum since the connex section I found whilst searching for some documentation on this amp seemed to be closed down.
No insults intended, though I can't say I'm not becoming quite frustrated by this.
While I had no wish to trawl through all this, especially not in a public forum, you've raised some points that I feel the need to respond to - at least we have a dialogue going.
Paypal dispute was closed 25th January. I can't say for certain whether it's you or paypal who has the money, but it's definitely not me, and I haven't had it since I placed (and paid for) the order on 19th November. On 2nd January, 44 days after the order was placed, I still had not received the board and parts, and since Paypal have 45 day claim limit, I raised the claim for non delivery. When it did arrive (7th of Jan), I discovered documentation had not been received so I asked you to send it (or send it again, if you had already). I wrote:
"11/01/2014 10:49 GMT - Buyer: Hi - still no data received. I've checked back through previous emails and can see invoice and a few other things from connexelectronic (4 emails in total) but none with attachments or the information about the circuit, so unless this was sent from/to a different email address, I'd have to conclude the email was never received. Please would you email the data (or email again, if you're sure it was initially sent) or make available on a share somewhere. The board is not any use without the info. I appreciate the partial board stuff, but I'd want to check it against the diagram and bom since it's untested (since it's unsoldered), and there are some parts not fitted ( a few transistors and a capacitor). It's now nearly 2 months since I placed the order and without the data I can't do anything with this board, so I'd appreciate if you could send the data asap. Regards."
Your entire response was:
"11/01/2014 12:48 GMT - Seller: Parcel received, mails are sent, what else you expect to releasemy money "
Since I still had not received any docs, so paypal was involved with the claim, my appeal being on the grounds that the item was not much use without the documentation, but on 25th Jan, paypal found in your favour because the documentation constituted "virtual or intangible items" and was therefore "not eligible for the dispute resolution process". In the context of a kit of parts, the documentation would seem somewhat vital, but that's paypal policy, so there we go - so I believe you DO have the money, and I have no further recourse through payal, and searches led me here posting to try to get a copy of the documents.
The BOM you posted to the paypal system, as I told you through that system, was largely truncated due to paypal dispute resolution message limit.
I did receive the tracking info - your point about that was, I think, that you had let me know about a shipping delay, but the message only said:
"reposted with SE post after a failed attempt to send with china post tracking nr RE644155841SE", which was somewhat cryptic, and that email arrived on 10th December, (order placed 19th November!), so I didn't associate it with anything at the time nor pay much attention to it - but I did find it when I searched, and (as I said) a couple of other emails from you (about the inital order and account access), but none with attachments or documents. Plus the tracking details on the SE number has almost no details - including no delivery address - it could have been anything going anywhere. Regardless, at day 44, I still would have raised a paypal dispute due to 45 day claim limit as I stated during initial dispute but I explained that already.
Above, you wrote that:
"I noticed that this is the first and most often excuse used by everyone who complains about anything. I didn't got your mail, you didn't answer my mail, etc."
From which, it sounds like this is not the first email issue you've encountered.
Since email attachments from you don't seem to reach me for some reason, could you put the doc on a file share somewhere? google drive or dropbox can use obfuscated URL, so not any bigger security issue than emailing it. Or stick it on an FTP somewhere and mail me the password. I have received emails from your gmail account, as I wrote above, just none with any attachments or documentation (and not recently either).
Look at it from my point of view - you took 6 - 7 weeks to deliver the hardware, and over two months after placing the order, I still don't have the documentation - what is it that needs an 'excuse' as you put it?
Obviously, I can't comment as to whether you sent the docs or not, but just that I haven't received them. I promise you, I've searched. If you sent from alternate email address, and if it's not got connexelectronc somewhere in it, your your name, then it may have gotten re-filed somewhere that my search terms can't reach - but I've spent a long time looking manually too.
Regards.

Obviously the part which I considered insulting was left behind.
Seems that there is no way out from this trouble. I just got an email from Paypal, they closed the dispute in my favour, but the payment is still held for 180 days because you opened two disputes not just one and is very possible that you will not stop here. After 180 days there are some chances to get the money. I'm not going wait 180 days as well you will not going to wait that long till you will get the manual, so send it back I will refund you. this is a quote from paypal message: "I would advise you to hold all the supporting documents till the deadline of 180 days."
So now you got the email with tracking info, in the same email the manual was attached.
Anyway is obvious that you don't need it, you already stated this twice. I found it disappointing to act this way if you changed your mind. You could simply tell me that no need, send it back and i will return the value paid for the board. I had customers acting fair for much higher amount than 38 usd + shipping. You have my address, send it back. once arrives I will return you the cost of the board if was not used or damaged.
Then you can search better one on eBay. Once you found a better one, with better performance/price ratio, let me know, I don't want to overcharge other buyers if my product is not up to one's expectations.... Fortunately you're the first to complain about this board since I've made it and sell.
Most of the troubles are with buyers who buy stuff worth <50-60$. These guys probably have enough time and nothing better to do just troubles, so I'm not going to continue. I expect to receive back the board asap so I can refund you. make sure you won't forget anything. You have my address on your mails, as well as on paypal transaction details.

Petty we have to read this kind of discussions on the forum 🙁
Don't think it belongs in "class D" or even in "everything Else"
Can understand both parties , but hey ...
Must say I have excellent experience with Connexelectronics .

IMO increasingly common to receive Shippings out of China late.. as they have become genuinely problematic since the autumn crackdowns.
A couple of My orders out of there came via Swedish post. Resulting in a circuitous route traveling two thirds of the circumference of the planet.
But Hey! it was a 'shipping included' price.
Can't cheat an Honest man.. can you ?
Caveat Emptor Kids 🙂

I sell software on ebay and have seen most scenarios.
However I send out the software same day or next day to ensure customer gets the software ASAP. I also have a support email helpline so there is no excuse that I don't help people. Yet despite this I get some people trying their luck. "I cant work your software" or "The software hasn't arrived" despite tracking says it was.
Why is that people "cant work the software" yet never once emailed me for help ?
CAD software is complex and not everyone gets it first time.
However I cant really complain as only about 1 in a 100 people have any problems and most of those are simple "never followed the instructions or manual"
I can see in this case the buyer has a valid complaint, waiting many weeks is not on.
I buy pcb's from China and they are made and arrived within 2 weeks.
I guess in this case the seller used a cheap postage and so upset the customer by taking so long.
Maybe the solution is to offer different postages depending on speed wanted ?
I am happy to pay £15 for fast postage.

I contacted Cristi some months ago for advice on a module to replace the power amp section of my old bass amp. He had some great advice for me but I did not order at that time.
It would seem that we have a real problem that neither party seems able to view things from the other person's perspective.
So to cristi, I say you have nothing to lose by putting some basic instructions or a datasheet on you website . The link is there but not working. In fact it was the reason I did not order this module until last Sunday.
To natb I would say that I can understand cristi's point . Having been the subject of a payment being snatched back by PayPal after the goods have been received is infuriating.
It is easy to over react to an issue like this so both parties need to take a deep breath and calmly discuss the solutions.
On Sunday I ordered one of these kits and was surprised to receive a refund on Monday morning with the note " Sorry John, temporary not selling this kit to UK or Nathan's friends". Well I am NOT one of Nathan's friends but I am a resident of the UK and I resent a sanction that affects me and all my fellow countrymen.
So before any more damage is done both Nathan and Cristi must communicate and report back about the outcome. As it stands I would deal with neither as a buyer or seller on the evidence of this spat.
If this sounds like empty rhetoric, on another thread I asked about abletec/anaview modules and was told about Audio Power modules. They look ideal but I am still waiting for a datasheet after 4 weeks. The other module I looked at was cristi's IRS500SMPS I am also waiting on that as their is no datasheet for that online.
In general small companies provide a better service than a large one. In my experience Profusion, the distributor of anaview, have been extremely helpful. I will be deciding soon on this purchase and would love to buy from Connex . However there is not enough information to allow me to buy at the moment.
So again sort out this problem and put more info online on the IRS2092 products and I may decide to buy from Connex.🙂

Hello John,
I'm sorry that I had to cancel the order. Your email address and location is very similar with that guy's address. I could have no idea who are you or if have any connection with him, although seems very coincidental that someone near to his place order the same kit as he did and ask for the manual right away.
I don't do business only for money like some of the sellers are doing, all the products which I sell are made by me with my team in our workshop, we not resell anything. Thus the feedback from customers is very important not only for sales but for my own peace of mind and satisfaction that I done something good, and it really makes me sick to see such behaviour like that guy. If someone keep complaining, I would step out from that side of business. that's one reason why I decided to close the Connexelectronic section on this forum and seems that some guys really want me to make one step forward, to leave this forum, right ? Hmm, I'm still thinking about. Too bad for those nice guys which deserve good products and support, actually they know where can find me.
Let me explain you what happen: He bought one module same as you did, I sent it with china post right away, of course they messed up like they use to do since couple of months ago and one week later wasn't shipped out so I had had to ask the shipping company to take it back and resend with Sweden post. Never got back the shipping cost paid for china post first time !!! I haven't complained about this. I even sent him a fully assembled board, not soldered but all parts installed, which he confirmed already. Never asked one cent more for that.
I sent him mails with tracking info and manual, I told him about delay, I updated on the website where he could check each time when was logged on. Once the parcel arrived in UK 3-4 days before delivery he opened a dispute, although he still had one week left. Ok, it happens, I've dealt with unreasonable customers before, it wasn't the first one. once the package was received I asked through paypal dispute to confirm if was received. eventually confirmed when I pasted the tracking info which shows delivered. I asked if the's any reason to hold the money if was received ? no answer for another week. I escalated, so I could get over this. He changed his mind and remember that the manual was not received by mail, i resent the mails from two addresses, from one address with mail delivery confirmation, he got the mail and read it and possibly download one and half hour later. the dispute was still opened, refused any negotiation, told to pp that the product is not complete without doc. I posted the BOM and part of instruction on dispute page, still not enough. eventually was closed and few days later he appealed this time SNAD. closed again of course, because was not qualified for, software and downloads are not covered. I sent the manual to PP and asked them to forward him, this would cancel any doubt about that.
I even got an mail from paypal and they suggested to reverse this transaction as they see it with high risk profile because is unusual when someone behave this way: after getting the products still want to get back the money by whatever mean. they hold the payment for 180 days till an outcome will be decided if the case gets more complicated that it's already.
I don't know what he wants and at this point I will not forward anything else to him as I already sent several times, and I'm decided to make public his identity if he doesn't send the board back in the following weeks. once arrives I will refund the cost and forget about doing business with me ever again. I'm tired of such kind of buyers especially when they buy stuff cost a little more than a burger. btw, I gave the link from this thread to paypal as well so they can follow what happens, if that person wants to go public for 38 usd, fine for me.
I found it really embarrassing for the forum to allow such kind of discussions on class D forum, and I'm wondering how moderators allow anybody to post anything. If I would post something similar, my message would vanish instantly (as would probably happen with this post or some of the next ones) Yet someone start his career on this forum just to open such thread. As I know moderators have to read and aprove the first 5-10 messages before posting on the forum, if the rules haven't changed in the meantime. (just two posts by now both on this thread)
Once the story will end, the board will be available for sale in UK and manual will be available on the site for anyone not just buyers. Till then I will not sell the board on UK, chose another module if suits your needs if cannot wait till the issue is solved. Please understand my point. I don't mid scraping few hundreds PCB's and stop selling the product if someone tries to insult me and mock my work.
I've seen someone suggesting that I used "cheap shipping". allow me to repeat: I paid the shipping twice, once for china post, then again for Sweden post. each one of them cost at least as much as I charged for shipping cost. shipping prices are available online. If anyone tried to ship something out from china at the end of November till middle of december and will arrive in 3 or 4 January don't curse the seller. One more hint: chinese don't celebrate Christmas. (I'm not chinese, yet I had just two days off during Christmas)
I repeated on connex forum and I will repeat here for the last time: Recently china post increased the price to abnormal values, and shipping time like 4-8 weeks become normal. the number of lost parcels increased as well. if before we had not more than one two from 100, now it became one two from 10. the next alternative is Sweeden post which takes almost a round trip around the globe till destination. parcels are posted in china, sent to Hong Kong then to singapore hub, Stockholm Sweeden then to destination. next is DHL which cost much more, is fast but need to pay import taxes. cost starts at ~35-40 usd for first half kg adding 12-15 for each half. very few customers accept it due to import taxes which need to pay. even fewer accept to pay he difference. I often ended up paying part of the shipping cost for parcels >300$ because there was no other decent shipping. I couldn't send it with SE post and wait one two months to arrive.
Chinese sellers have a great backdoor. If someone ever wonder why they still can sell things which cost few $ and shipping included, is because when china post had shut the door for them a new shipping service came out (not clear for me who does that) which only allow Aliexpress and Ebay sellers to ship at ridiculously low values, some 4-8 times cheaper than I have to pay and arrive in much shorter time. If someone order a speaker protection from me I have to pay for shipping same as I pay for a small power supply, little over 100RMB. but for them, maybe 10-15 rmb. then there is some similar shipping which use bulk shipping and bulk prices, no tracking nr, but arrive fast. seems that this is a very well guarded secret since I couldn't find more infos and nobody would tell about.

I have to say that Cristi did respond almost immediately to my post both on here and privately by email. The contents of the email shown above. I must thank Cristi for that.
With two opposing arguments, it is hard to see the truth but Cristi does seem sincere in his disappointment over the situation and he has offered a refund if the kit(s) is/are returned. The ball is now with natb to say whether he will take up cristi's offer of a refund.
I am stuck in the middle as the 200W version suits my PSU whilst the other assembled IRS2092 power amps seem to give only 150w for the same rails. So I will wait for the resolution.
One more comment. Is it suspicious that someone else has posted about a similar problem here http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/class-d/250565-connexelectronic-amp-pinout-help-ta2022smps.html ? Does not even resemble any of Cristi's amps. Maybe I have watched too many spy movies.

As a side observation, If this topic was meant to criticize my person, allow me to step out from the discussion now and very possible from this forum for good so you guys can talk freely if this kind of threads continue to pop up. I thought that this was a technical forum where technical topics are expected.

Cristi please do not go. You seem to be valued member and your good responses will surely help your good and happy customers.

I agree 100% ! ! !
I am afraid it is part and parcel of selling things.
There is always someone who is not happy.
I get around 1% of sales which have a problem.
Despite offering email and phone help some people still give up at the first hurdle and spit their dummy out of the pram.
All you can do is keep cool and ask how you can help.

Sorry to to resurrect an old thread but the French distributor for Connex has the PDF for download on it's website.
