Condenser glaslens broke

Then I ran my test projector setup I heard i breaksound after a while. The condensor lens had broke of the heat. I only use a 150W halogen bulb for testing. My question is, does the condensor lens has to be of a special glas type or what do you other people use in your setup.

I'd guess your mounts are too tight.....the glass expanded as it heated up and had nowhere to go, so it cracked. Try lossening the mounts next time.

Yes, mine has a few mm free movement in each direction (fitted as std. in my OHP).
