Complementary-differential input stage

Wandering around the Internet I came across this, to me unusual solution amps, so I asked anyone who knows a little more to say about this concept. I made it, a little test, I listened and I can say that sounds very encouraging. So far I have not encountered this kind of input stage. Only thing I know about is to be called complementary-differential input stage.Eny useful information is appreciated. Thanks.

Looks like half of the input stage of a 741 opamp. I don't know how much of an improvement over single transistor input (feed back directly into emitter of input transistor. My 2cents
