I'm a P.A. enthousiastic, we do free tekno-party's in europe.
Currently with aproxx 17-20kw rms audio output, 12 186 subs and bunch of x-troii tops.
6 channel digital crossovers and mainly stk 3,4kw switchedpowersupply railed amps.
I've designed, not build yet!, a tracking fullbridge class d sub amplifier, so less then 4khz(probably 200hz) to optimize the powercharacteristics. This is mainly in the understanding that >65% of energy is needed for the lower 500 herz that gives only 5% of the hearable audio information.
A fullbridge class D design, with slow tracking powersupply was my choice to supply that 65% of power with a minimum of thd.
The class ab amps can migrate to do the rest of the audio spectrum, ensuring quality even at high spl.
I hope to achieve some insights and solutions from your exstensive efforts here, any pointers would be appreciated ofcouse!
