I am planning on building the zaph SR71 for my apartment (the room is approx. 4 m x 5 m) and I am looking for an amp to go along with it.
I'd like to try a class D amp but I am not able to choose alone between the existing boards. So far, I am stuck between those three amps :
ucd180 from Hypex
TA3020 v3b from Connexelectronic
IRS2092 from Connexelectronic (then again I don't know what to choose between the CxD250, the CxD300, the IRS2092 Modular amplifier, ...)
Anyone can advise me on the amp to choose ?
Feel free to propose something not listed above 🙂
Please note that my budget is around 500 $ - 350 € for two channels boards and a psu.

ucd would I guess be the most +1 amp of all listed
myself I would go for 3020, then ucd (because of less power and high price) and IRS as last (but very cheap)
I have both used IRS as 3020, I like 3020 more then IRS, both are great amps

I was myself leaning toward this one. UCD seems great but a little bit expensive in comparison with connexlectronic boards.

How about using B&O ICEpower 50ASX2 or 125ASX2 modules from ebay. You need also the spesific connectors, but one module/speaker is spot-on! AC transformer onboard, only AC switch, casing and connectors to make - too easy?

Have a look at Amp F3 AudioPower. amplifier is a well-studied for the audiophile and is complete, only three connectors to listen.
Of course, I have cooperation with this company, but my advice is dispassionate, it is an excellent product, well done on offer at 50% of real value... if available.

I've got an Icepower 125ASX2 connected to my SR71's.
Great low end but a bit harsh on the highs. I plan on modifying the stock Xover this autumn as per the suggestion by the designer.
But overall i'm very pleased.
