Class D audio is very similar to pwm motor control. Differences are that motor control uses d.c. to perhaps 100Hz, whereas audio uses higher frequencies.
Also PWM audio needs a much more linear modulator - and modulation should never saturate. Motor control needs 0 to 100 % - i.e. full saturation at top and bottom.
So anyone doing class D would be well advised to look at motor control circuits. I have been involved with both - firstly with Sinclair Radionics, then later I started 4QD ( 4QD Ltd. - Electric Motor Speed Controllers - which is now sold)
If anyone is interested I can supply and discuss circuits, but best contact me by email.
