Citation 5.1

Hello,

Can anyone tell me if 10mv - 30ma is a reasonable bias setting for a Citation 5.1 multichannel amplifier?

My friend did a fairly minor repair and biased the amp for me.

A nice sounding amp but I’d like to sell.

Sounds about right. Ensuring that all of the output transistors are starting to conduct will remove or greatly reduce, any crossover distortion.
To be certain, read the service manual.

Thanks much for this response. I was told that the bias was set unrealistically low in his view. I tried the amplifier last knight and the amp now is running noticeably warmer. I’ll keep monitoring the situation going on.
