Hello all,

I have a Hana SL cart and i'm looking to wire a Cinemag 3440a at 600ohm.
All the diagrams have the 150 and 37.5 wiring.

Input:
I connected the yellow and orange together, and put the brown to + and blue to -

Output:
Black and white connected to ground, violet to + , grey to -

Is this correct?

I have a bit of hum and connected the input and output - together it helped but there still is a little bit that I'd like to get rid of, all wires are twisted.

thanks for your help.

The diagram found on their website seems self explanatory.

Ground wiring need some particular method, most of time it works very well and unclear in the factory diagram. For one, loop the in/out negative socket terminals R to R, L to L, ground binding post terminal isolated from chassis but wired with a switch for ground lift. The black/white SUT ground is soldered to the ground binding post. For Rega arm (or those without separate ground wire), the sockets must be grounded via switch. The rest of winding tappings as per factory diagram.

Thanks for all of your help.
Installed a ground lift switch, and that minimized ti to a point I only hear it with my ear up against the speaker and amp way past what I normally listen ton.

thanks

I've built up some of these and only now I recall that it doesn't matter if the ground binding post is isolated or not isolated from chassis as long as the in/out are separately looped and with ground lift switch. You're free to experiment and accept whichever method to your personal satisfaction. I also use a Hana SL selectable between 150 or 37ohm. These 2 settings would match my MM phono outputting 40-45db gain.
