People don't answer here if they think you can find the answer by searching.
You will find when you search that 4000 lumens is a recommended min for an lcd panel . I can't guarantee this one but from my research it is 4000 lumens and the bulb is cheap.
I have a 3M 9550 that is 4000 lm and I wish I had more, but that means more expensive (but longer lasting) bulbs, and of course a more exp projector. The most popular being the Elmo solar deluxe, it is 6-7000 lm I don't remember, but if you search you will find all this info and more... and you don't have to wait for someone to reply🙂
Hope this helps

you will always actually make money if you buy form private adverts and sell on ebay... i looked in private ads for an ohp and in a week i got a geha sl 36... a amazingly good projector, rebadged from a major brand. new i think that at best it is about 300 quide or 450 dollars, and i got it for 50 quid or 90 dolla. maybe one day i can sell it for 120 on ebay. buy from private ads, that's where old guys sell heavy stuff like that and because that is teh medium people who get stuff from offices often use. other than that, dunno
Best deal
Bought my 9550 for $49.95 and $15 shipping Not too bad and I didn't have to search want ads for 6 weeks🙂

dukane 5500
if you are willing to pay a bit more,
try to find a Dukane 5500, but they are quite rare.
(I got one for $70-just ohp, no case, no 4th lens)
the 4003 is probably the best/price, try to find one with the 4th lens (probably more expensive).
they are both portable and use fxl 410w bulbs (readily available and cheap).

so the elmo is the best? cause there is one on ebay going for 100 bucks buy it now...if i can afford it think i should get it? would it be good optics for a enclosed projector eventually?
i bought a ohp lately, fist part of a first projecting trial... actually it's massive and i dunno wher to place it in my room... well my room is tiny. one thing that strikes me is how cool it is to actually make a projector yourself... the best way is to have a four _|_ frames that can hold a light, a fesnel, the lcd and a good lens.
_|_|_|_|_ like this you can test distances etc, everything moving backwards and forwards on a large board. this is better and cheaper than an ohp for a beginner, just need some kind of 400w bulb, a curved/ heat resis
