for 2 my soldering skills really suck

Ok then you better forget it or send it to me lol.

Hard wire is basically soldering wire from one point to another with no plugs. If you can solder SMD devices then i can garrentee you can solder that cable, however if you cant solder SMD devices then you will soon find you cant 😉

All you need is a pin, a 25-30w soldering iron with a very sharp tip (i use a 40w on this work, though im fast enough not to fry anything), and a udma ide cable.

To desolder that cable, just quickly heat the contact (until solder melts) and lift the cable end with the pin. Remebering what cable goes where, just replace the old cables with the stripped ide cable, and solder into place.

You will find on the other pcb that the old cable used to connect to (Not the blue one but to the actual pcb that blue pcb pluged into) you will have to remove the socket and do the same thing. That is how you make the link.

WEll the monitor that i am going to buy is a 6.5" but i dont know if it will work. its conection goes to a vcr.

Why wouldnt it? most of those 6.5inchers are strip friendly and work on a vcr no probs. Just make sure it can handle your video format like for instance NTSC or PAL.

If it got a tuner you can input stuff to it. Just run the vcr to it in rf.

Is it possible for you to fix your caps up in your last post?

Btw, ill answer your question in my thread soon, i just got to take a pic and finnish this light off so i can show you what ive done, and compare the bulb size of mine to yours to show why yours wont fit.
