Channel death - Chinese EL34 PP

I have a Chinese EL34 PP amp that had recently developed a problem with the right channel. Even with the volume at the lowest setting, it still put sound out of the right channel. The difference between left & right seemed to reduce as you raised the volume, but I'm not certain. Now, the channel has died completely.

I have no real idea what I need to do to fix it, but I've had a look inside and can't find any weak solder joints so I guess a component has died and needs replacing.

I am hoping someone here could give me some pointers on how to go about testing what has failed. I come armed with multimeter but little else...
