Greetings,
I am brand new to the forum, so please bear with me. I didnt find any references in the search box so here goes.
I am looking at custom fabrication of tactrix horn, for use with the BMS 4591 2" mid range comp drivers.
Looking at optimization in the 600hz range.
These will be outdoors 24/7 in some very incliment weather conditions, so I am looking at a few possibilities on the construction.
My first choice was to look at milling down PVC stock, but I need UV stable.
I have looked at the stereo lab stone horns, and those would work.
I was then wondering about a fired ceramic horn. These would certainly be all weather. I found no examples anywhere about this, so I am wondering if there is an acoustic aspect that I am not aware of.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
(this site is a great find)
