I have recently been given (yes given!) a set of Ditton 442 drivers, the same as the Ditton 44 drivers but aesthetically smoother. They come with some excellent Seas 19mm tweeters that are excellent replacements for the originals in my opinion.
I already have a well loved pair of 44s with the same tweeter, that I have restored and done a fair bit of crossover improving. The only problem with these speakers that I can see is that the box could be a lot more rigid, and so I plan to rebuild it.
My current plan for the 442 drivers is to build something not unlike the original B+W 801 model 80 cabinets.
Do you think that this is a worthwhile project?

Hi LucasAdamson. If I had a full set of decent drivers like that available, I would absolutely have a project going. The original enclosure is pretty straightforward. What kind did you have in mind? how about dipole mid/high, sealed bass?
Just curious if, and what, you built? I have a set of 442 drivers & xovers so ideas are always welcome.
