I have a problem with a modded philips CD880, the former owner added clock and OP627 IV board, but made a fault and hit a PS wire to something so some stuff blew. It is all repaired but still i have no DATA signal on SAA7210 and ofcoarse 7220/dac
First TDA chip after CDM is new, as uProcessor, 7210 and 7220. Still no data. It reads discs and plays, clock and Wordselect are present.
Could CDM be the problem? What happens to data if the photo diodes to HF chip is dead?

It could be almost anything but not the cdm. If the disc is read and plays correctly (time counter advancing) then its fine.
