CD Rom transport

Hello, my name is Tomek and.... I am new to this forum and to...digital audio. In my plans is to build NonozII DAC, by Fedde, and Cd transport based on CD Rom. I did try to search the forum for similar posts, but no result. From my web searches on the subject, I found some circuits, which let to convert TTL digital CD Rom output to SPDIF. So, this part is done. What I could not find is a schematic of good power supply for CD rom. Has anyone a schematic of good, regulated power supply?
Also, I want to put CD rom in its own enclosure. To further damp vibrations I want to mount CD Rom brackets on Sorbothane pads. This step will also separate cd rom enclosure from physical ground of aluminum enclosure. Should I connect cd rom enclosure to ground of my main chasse?
And... one more problem. I got few older CD Roms, which are in very good condition. All transports are made of aluminum alloy, and they are suspended on springs. I thought to use them in my future projects. They are of SCSI type. They do not have digital output, and front Play/Stop buttons. Is it possible to add controler with Play/Stop buttons, and get digital out from them?
Thank you very much for your help, Regards tomek

Thanks for the response. MCLL, I would like to use schematic 1 for the PSU. Have you got bigger drawing? I can not read values of the components. And one really basic question: Both sections of the PSU contain pots. How to use them? Will they set output voltage, or .....something else? Where to connect voltmeter during adjustment?
