Can you EQ more bass out of a full range driver?

I've purchased a bru5 two channel DSP amp with the plans to use one channel for a subwoofer and the other for a full range driver to run a mono boombox for my workshop. I should have did more research as you can not DSP each channel independently. Now I'm considering two larger full range drivers like the sb acoustic 8" then eq some extra bass out. It's probably wise to have a sealed box in such a dusty environment. Is this doable or should I just get a 2.1 amp and run two smaller FF drivers and a sub?

P.s we're not talking about high fidelity here, just something that can be heard in a noisy workshop.

Noisy workshop, so that means speakers need to play a little loud.

EQ to get bass, especially with higher levels will bring in a lot of distortion.
Will you hear it and will it bother you in your noisy workshop?

otherwise, yes, a dedicated sun for low end, even sealed, with sealed small satellites will sound better.

I currently use JVC speakers (with 3 inch drivers, ported) driven by a 3 watt amp in a noisy workshop, but it's relatively small. Some Heybrooks with 8 inch drivers (replaced with very cheap PA drivers, sealed box) do sound better with the same amp though. A noisy workshop could be VERY noisy and very big, requiring much more watts and much bigger drivers. I'd try it and see, if it doesn't work, add a sub. Let's face it, in a workshop it's just some noise in the background, perhaps some company if it's radio, and usually you'll have some idea of the time with a radio station, so you don't keep looking at the time; a tiny portable radio in an industrial space as big as a cathedral will still help the day pass a little better.

Yes, you can boost Bass in your setup.
No magic results of course, but acceptable, specially in a workshop.
