if there's no fan, can the lcd panel burn if using a metal halide?

you need to be a little more specific for ex how many watts is the bulb and how close is the lcd to your bulb and explain your projector setup a little more so we can get an idea of where to hook up your fans if you have a camera pictures would be nice

An LCD can reach an amount heat till it's fade away after cooled down it is usable again.
But don't let it overheat to much or your LCD is ready for the garbage can.
My LCD faded 2 times away on a temp from 50-60°C.
It was 30cm away away from the MH 400 bulb without cooling.
And a PC cooler is usable on both voltage from a computer fastest (but loudest) is on 12v, so you can use any powersuply you wantaccual.
