G'day. Well previously i thought i was going to go for a bass reflex design using the Fostex FE206E. I still plan to use this driver but have drawn up a design that is similar to a front horn type of design. I made the dimensions minimal because my g/f would kill me if i put anything bigger in. I guess my question is would this sound anygood or am i missing some fundamental design aspects.
Note: Sorry bout the drawings i am using the mac equvalent of microsoft paint. If anyone knows any free drawing programs that'd be great.
2nd Note. The shody drawing on the corners i was planning to use flexible plywood to curve all the corners and stuffing material behind the drivers.
Any input would be great.

Ohhh..........
Take care ! Your enclosure will not give you what you expect.
A backhorn "must" respect some laws : lenght, wide, depht,...
Your will make the speaker moving air with no rules.

Hi,
when in doubt use something that already exists, e.g.

With that outer dimensions as a requisite, IMO you should head to build Dave's (planet10) Frugelhorn project.
BLH design is not an easy task, with lots of math involved. Just take a look at MJK site, http://www.quarter-wave.com/Horns/Horn_Theory.html
Or you could take the trial and error way and risk to waste lots of wood or whatever material you choose to build.

What you have there is a Voigt style BLH / TL, but looking at the dimensions, it hasn't enough Vb to work properly. If your GF won't allow you an enclosure large enough to do the job properly, then I'd suggest you go back to either a reflex or MLTL design.
You should read a bit on the Single Driver Website. You will also find different alignment calculators there that will bring you a bit closer to your goal.
