Mate, you've got a bit of learning to do 😀. The simple answer is that if it does not have the input you need, its not going to work with anything other then its intended use. Far too many people try to reuse old lcds from laptops and what not. Only rarly can you find fairly priced controller card for lcds. Most of the time you can get a nice lilliput lcd for the price of one.

Good Luck

Just to back up my info, a quote from someone who mod'ed his iOpener:

The screen - Kinda sucks, sorry. It is nice to look at in general if you're facing it dead on... but motion video just doesn't cut it, there is way too much ghosting. I'd imagine that it would NOT be acceptable for gaming - for surfing the web, it is great.

I spec'd it out myself at one point and pondered doing the Linux or Windows conversion for one, but I really didn't need it. They're not hard specs, but what I gathered was that it's a 10" DSTN 16-bit (64k colors) LCD that uses a notebook-type ribbon interface to the motherboard, driven by a Trident chip.

There's a good photo of the screen in action, white text on a black background, that gives visual confirmation of its DSTN nature.

Thank you for the details that just confirms that it is a POS for any type of use other than it's first intention.

Yeah, either the heat or moving my LCD in and out for adjustments killed it. My projector has sat for the summer unused.

It's about $165 now with similiar specs of the Lilliput everyones talking about except it's not XGA and only has RCA video inputs. Does 800X480 which is fine for me and DVD! Hitachi board and all, very easy to modify.

I was near the end of my tweaking and then it happened, really blows!

Thank you karrock for the info I was looking for, and also to the other's who replied directing my efforts to a better use of time.
