Hi,
i have come across a couple of 50V / 1.8A power supplies. I'm not sure what they were used for but they aren't the cheap wallwart types. I'm assuming some kind of printer or computer application. They work.
Question: is there any ampilfier project i can use them for. I guess the low voltage rules out tube projects, ..but perhaps a simple headphone amp or a linestage???
ideas / links wanted ????
thanks 😉

the power supply...
Hi zobsky!!
Why not tu use two of them in series and get a +50, 0, -50 volts rails..
With that you can even make a power amplifier!!

interesting, ...that is a possibility but is the 1.8A rating sufficient (excuse me for the novice questions?)?
thanks
thanks
the rms...and the music power...
If the 1,8 A is a RMS rating...and you use good capacitors...say 10.000uF you will end to suficiente headroom for a power amplifier with enough music power...😉
