I am a big fan of old Röderstein caps. The 60th and 70th where the golden age of HiFi here in Germany. Then we lost badly against he japaneese, and then all this incredible stuff from Mark Levinson and Threshold !

Visaton - Lautsprecher und Zubehör, Loudspeakers and Accessories
they make good traditional dome tweeters that should fit well.
Actually two years ago i measured Grundig dome tweeters from early 70th and they where +-2dB from 3 to 20kHz so nothing much has changed.
