Hi all,
Now my speakers have had more than enough time to burn in and settle down I have come to the conclusion that there is not enough top end and its getting lost in the otherwise great sound. A brief discussion with a speaker refurbishment and upgrade company here in the UK has suggested changing the capacitors on the cross over before they try to match a new tweeter unit that suits my listening needs as apprently the crossover inside are probably one area where corners were cut to keep the price down.
So, has anyone taken a set of these apart before and able to advise where the xover actually is inside the box. I thought it prudent to ask incase anyone has done this before and can offer up any advice. If not ill flip a coin on what driver to remove first and go for it taking pictures as I go for future reference. The chap who I spoke to could have made an £80 sale on two replacement drivers so he obviously feels this is worth doing.
I won't be going in for a few days so any input on this adventure before then would be appreciated.
