HI guys,
Please can you explain me the technical differences from Wadia DAC 25 and DAC 15 ?
What dac chips employ Wadia 15 ?
P.S.: Do you think 1500 euro is too much for a 15 ? ( I think too high)
Thanks for attention, 🙂
Cheers,
Paolo

Wadia has a different approach
I am no expert, but I know for certain that Wadia Dacs do not use a DAC chip.
They use a CPU to run Wadia's proprietary software to decode the digital bitstream and apply the necessary filters through math calculations.
Which one is better ? Probably the one that fetches the highest price on Audiogon.
The market rules...

Hi , 🙂
Oh PCM63, Cool !
Two for each channel?
Excuse, I suppose thus the 15 was the old model and the 25 the "new" ( successor). And maybe the 25 employ the 1702?
Thanks a lot !
Paolo

I typed Wadia 25 DAC Chip on Google and the answer was in the first or second site on the list.
Google is your friend, use it.
BTW both DACs are extremely musical, the PCM 1702 has slightly better high-frequency sound quality. The PCM63 has a very smooth and slightly mellow sound.
Arrivederci

And perdone me, I am a total disaster with computer- Internet and this modern" monstruosities" ! 😀 😀 😀
If my friend will give me permis , I 'll try to swap the IC's output stage and make "serious-audiophile grade" 🙄
Ciao !
