bypassing DIN-9pin on a Sanyo DWM-3500 noob help

I don't know where to post this because I am a total noob.

I was given a Sanyo DWM-3500, an older 5.1 surround sound system with a powered sub and a main unit. I would like to connect my existing receiver to it so that I can simply use it as a powered sub. The problem is that I am missing the main unit which the sub connects to via a DIN-9pin.Im not sure if its proprietary or if it follows a template/standard. Like I said I want to simply use it as a powered sub that I can hook to the subwoofer out jack on my current receiver (sony str-dh750).

How do I go about simply using this as a powered sub? And is it even possible? (although it seems like it should be because the amp and sub just need
