I have built a guitar amp with a 6SL7 input and 6SL7 driver to 6v6 output. both 6SL7's are parallel sections.
I have 3 seperate inputs which are switched from clean to lead OD. one vol and one tone.
when vol at zero no buz. when vol at high i get a buzz. the clean setting not so loud a buzz as lead.
the guitar amp vol changes the buzz volume too.
i have an aluminum chassis which i think may to be blame as no shielding of em fields like steel.
i was wondering if someone has a little time and lives in Minnesota to swing by and do some problem solving??
I have built other guitar amps before and this one seems to have way more buzz than others.
I can take a photo and post it if needed.

If you can turn the volume control on the guitar to zero and the hum stops, then the noise is coming from your pickups and not the amp.
well i can take some photos of its interior. also, when volume is all the way down on amp the hum buzzing lessens... so i am thinking its picking up hum buzz via guitar and cable.
Anyone in minnesota want to still take a look?

If you can bring it by the shop I'd be happy to take a look, but you will have to wait until I get back from the Rocky Mountain AudioFest.
