just wondering what you guys thought. do bad bulbs light up at all?
when i plug in the projector. it will just stay on standby unless i press the power button quickly within 2 seconds of powering on. when i do get it to power on. the color wheel kicks on. and now im hearing a buzzing sound.
the light kicks on for a sec and turns off.
i looked at the bottom side of the ballast. and what looks to be a resistor or capacitor. labeled 800 and 300 with a circle on it. looks like its shorting. and all the electricity is going in it because i can actually see the electricity, like so much is emmiting light. and clicking when ballast is supposed to be lighting the bulb.
its kinda hard to explain. but heres a pic.
