Hey all, I would like to know the average bulb lives. one of my problems with an OHP is the SHORT bulb lives and this alone makes me search fo an alternative. i've heard of some people having high hours IE: 5200 hours. please post your hours.

ENX bulb (82v 360w), typically lasts 75 hours. I swear this one is lasting longer though, it just doesn't wanna die!
I'm curious about the OHPs that come fitted with Metal Halide bulbs. I know the bulb replacement is high, but if the cost per hour of bulb life is the same or better, I may consider purchasing a high lumen (7000+) projector to replace this 2700 lumen Elmo hp-l355 deluxe.
Anyway, how long do the 575w metal halides that come in projectors such as the Elmo HPA305 Solar Deluxe tend to last, and how cheap have you seen the bulbs for?

are you talkin about the ELMO from invol? lol i have my eyes on that one too. i dont know what kind it uses but i hear its costs 100$ to replace! 🙁 so i dont think im getting that one.

why dont you keep your old elmo and build a custom projector that would be cheaper in my opinion.

i guess that was 'lucky' bulb, i always put it on high with the extra side switch.

they came with the ohp , they were still new, in a box
when the first one blew last week, i ordered 2 new on line, they cost $14 each and i ordered 2 with free shippign
