Building my Gainclone into an AMC DAC8 chassis.

I have an old but nice sounding AMC DAC8 d/a converter laying around. Since I'm only going to use this amp for CD's, do you think it would be OK to install the gainclone into the AMC chassis?

There is plenty of room in there for everything, including the transformer.

Would this be a potential noise factory? Should I build an external P.S. box?

I say go for it. You could fit an entire 5.1 gainclone setup in there if you could find appropriate transformers!

Well, maybe not quite that but there is a ton of empty space and you should be fine.
