building a guitar cab out of black widow 15"s
hey I'm new here and new to building cabs
i would like to build a 2 15 black widow cab for guitar
i bought a RBS-1 peavey bass cab but i was told black widows are pretty well universal for guitar and bass so i was wondering how i would go about building one i have a idea but im not too intelegent with the size and specs, i would like a just have the speakers side by side and like "horizontal". if you could help me out it would be muchly apreciated.
i was jsut gunna recycle everything on the cab except for the box itself.
i was just gunna use the handles, inputs, speakers, corners and thats about it. and sell the box or just keep it till i want to re sell it if someone offers a pretty penny for it so i can get a real cab but im fond of building my own so i can make it the way i would like it to look.
i built a really really crapy 2 12 with chip board which was a bad idea cause it kills the sound abit but besides that i coverd it in blue vinyl from school gym mats and welded my own grill for the front from shelves from a dairy queen fridge, and found monitor input stuff (you knwo with the volume nob and stuff like that) its really badly made so i would like to take my time and make this one a beauty but none the less cover it in blue vinyl or carpet again please help. even though i might have disguraged you from what i wrote and how dumb i maybe hehe.

look up the T/S parameters for the speaker (google) then download a program called winisd - its pretty easy to use
then using winisd you can model the response of the cabinet, typically you want the low end to extend down past the frequency of the lowest note on your guitar..

im really sorry im quite the tard about this i have no idea what you just said if theres anyway you can dumb it down for me would be great but i will try
email peavy with the speaker model number and ask for enclosure recommendations for a pair of them.
Better yet, call them on the phone.

i was jsut gunna ask that if i should jsut call them about that
or if i would be able to get the parameters off them somehow or something

so i figured out how to work the program
i found the t/s parameters on the peavey site
and i like got everything done and it gave me the dimentions
so i just wanna make sure
so after it gives you the dimensions for the box do you just refer to them and build it?
i know you can change them and it adjusts but is that all you do?
im very new at this so please help if you can .
