Bridging two monoblocks Denon POA-4400a

I have searched this forum and the web and still I am not sure if it is possible at all.
If I try this, will it be sufficient to interconnect the two speaker commons (the black terminals), besides connecting the single speaker between the two positives (the red terminals). Or will it be nessecary to interconnect the grounds of the amplifiers at some 'deeper' level, maybe chassis to chassis or even between the PSUs?

Does anyone see any pitfalls here? Please let me know if any alarm bells ring for you experenced and skilled people.

(I am of course aware that I need to inverse the phase of the input to one of the amps, that the speaker impedance must be at least 8 ohms and that it is always adviceable to check for dc on the amp outlet before connecting any speaker).

Regards, Drumhead

First off, what is the impedance of your speakers ? If less than 8 oghms, you cannot bridge your amp, unless its rated for 2 ohms per channel.

Second, make sure your amp is even rated for running bridged into 8 ohms or lower, if not, then don't even think about it.

Third, if you actually need the extra power, you may be better of looking for a higher power amplifier.

Fourth, is it to run a subwoofer ? Get a dedicated subwoofer amplifier!!!
