Hey guys [and girls]. I just bought this on ebay on a whim, becuse from what i read on the boxlight website, the problem with the unit powering off is simply a safty feature and should be fixed with a new bulb. Anyway, what do you guys think of this crate? Good buy or not?

What i am worried about now is the cost of the bulb... I could end up paying more that the projector is worth

By the way, its 3 lcds... RBG, and imagin what great optics are in there if its doa?

It uses a MH type light so that might be good new for finding a replacement; on the other hand if the bulb is to much i looks like it could be result on ebay for a little more--broke pjs go for more like $180 then what you paid with the BIN

I think a 3000 hour light is in the region of 300-400, but i found a guy who will refurish them for 275. 3000 hours is like 125 days of running it strieght, so i think it will be well worth the price. Running it 6 hours a day will last me 1.3 years.
