Boxes for Tweeters

I am looking for ideas for boxes for a Horn Tweeter like the Pioneer AHE60-51F 3-1/2" Horn Tweeter.

May I ask for some pictures to get a better idea how to go about placing them atop my B20 Half Changs.
I'm using a 1" tweeter already as suggested in the fourm 1uf cap ect.

I'm quite deaf in the upper region so I have been using a Horn Tweeter atop the Half Changs .

The Half Changs sound GREAT ! and I havent finished stuffing them yet. One side top and bottom felt lined , felt on the driver back. I can't find any ductseal Help with that too pls.

Do you have a picture of what that looks like.

You want a box with little diffraction, but with a horn that is usually not much of an issue anyway.

I you tried the local HVAC, Electrical, or plumbing wholesalers (sometimes the last don't know what you are talking about)

Sorry, haven't had a chance to do anything on this. What i would do is get the smallest diameter piece of PVC pipe i could fit around the back, glue the driver to the end, then take the dremel to the overhangling flanges, and stuff the back full up to the terminals with ductseal, and construct a set of stands out of dowl (like the Fostex ones).

A more elaborate variation, would be to use a bigger pipe, and construct a heavily round-overed chunk of wood for the pipe to act as a baffle. You still need to trim the flanges off,

I went to home depot and bought some 3" PVC and started on the Tweeter. Does the length of the PVC pipe matter ? I'm planning on leaving it 5" long for stability.

How the heck do you get the photos to appear in the post without having to create a hyperlink ?

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

I still have to close up the backs. Still no Duct Seal.
What do you think about plaster of paris to fill the voids inside the PVC pipe ?

Legth doesn't matter

Use the file attach at the bottom of the reply window (don't preview -- that will hopefully change with the new SW, which is imminent). Or put your pictures where they can actually be linked.

It would be permanent. And won't damp as well as Ductseal.

Lets see if snapfish lets people at their pictures... if a picture shows up below then yes,

OK, snapfish doesn't let you get at your own pictures (so i'd dump em). Does your ISP give you some webspace along with your emails?

Or just attach the photos to the forum database (then the link will never espire). You did a good job. You might want to soften the front circu, ference of the PVC.
