Just found a pair of these on the kerb (hard rubbish collection).
Just curious - They look like they are a transmission line design but the closed end also ends in a cylindrical port which exits down into the mouth/port. Which surprisingly isn't shown in their own pic below.
Had a look on the www but couldn't find anything beyond what Bose call a tapered acoustic enclosure.
Anyway, the cabinets are cactus. The drivers look cheap. they sound OK but not great.

Edit (having looked more carefully). Yes, to a point. Related to a BP, in an abstract sense.
