subwoofer Bose PS3-2-1 III
Thank you for your answer.
After unscrewing fout bolts, I can take off the rear panel of the subwoofer.
The big power transformer is mounted in the rear cavity, near the top, between two heavy metal plates.
These are secured by four bolts. If I try to unscrew these bolts (counter clockwise), they only get more tight,
If I try clockwise, they loosen to a certain point, but no further. I am stuck, I see no way to remove these srews and the transformer.
The nuts of these bolts are not visible, because they are behind the mounting panel, with no access at all.
I am beginning to think that this Bose subwoofer cannot be serviced without damaging or breaking of the enclosure.
Is this a Bose feature?

You might be able to access the spinning nuts from the speaker side, but that requires removing other screws that could also have spinning nuts..
Unfortunately, many products have been designed in such a way that non-destructive service is difficult or impossible.
